Senior/Intermediate Accountant/BookkeeperWe are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior/Intermediate Accountant/Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, coupled with a proven track record of accuracy and efficiency in financial record-keeping.
- Financial Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries, and bank reconciliations.
- Month-end Close: Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring all transactions are properly recorded and reconciled in a timely manner.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare financial statements, reports, and analyses to support management decision-making and regulatory compliance.
- Tax Compliance: Assist with tax preparation and compliance activities, including gathering necessary documentation and ensuring accuracy of tax filings.
- Audit Support: Coordinate and assist with internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations as required.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies within the accounting function, implementing best practices as appropriate.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments, such as finance, operations, and procurement, to ensure accurate recording and reporting of financial transactions.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA designation or progress towards CPA certification is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping roles, with demonstrated proficiency in financial record-keeping and reporting.
- Software Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, SAP) and Microsoft Excel. Experience with ERP systems is a plus.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and identify trends or discrepancies.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate financial information to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping and reporting.
