DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
As a
Senior Helpdesk Engineer, you are responsible for deploying, Troubleshooting, and working proficiently within the below scope of work.
- Desktop Operating Systems: Windows 7thru Windows 10, and Mac OS X
- Server Operating Systems: Windows Server 2008 and above, ESXi/VSphere
- Server roles: Active Directory, file, and print services, GPO, Terminal services
- Workstation Peripherals
- Microsoft Office software and Plugins
- 3rd party applications running on Windows and Mac computers
- Cloud Service admin such as Dropbox for Business, G Suite, etc.
- Computer networking and connectivity
- Firewalls: Sonicwall, Meraki, and other Firewalls and VPNs
- Ubiquity Unifi Wifi equipment
- Mobile devices -iOS and Android
- work with end users (clients) every day and resolve their issues directly
- Manage critical IT projects, such as email migrations, client onboarding, and new server installations.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be a senior-level engineer who will work at the service desk
- Must have previous experience in a similar role
- Must be very confident in their abilities and have the ability to be an escalation point for junior techs.
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience supporting business clients
- At least 2-3 years of experience working in an MSP setting
- Bachelors degree in any course related to computers, information technology, or business
- Must be very good at Windows/Mac/network/internet/cloud troubleshooting methodologies
- Good Customer Relationship Management skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
