What you'll be doing:
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Preparation of working papers and schedules supporting all asset, liability, and equity accounts
- Completion of audit programs and checklist as necessary
- Control Testing (i.e. Lease Testing & AP/Cash Disbursement)
- Substantive analytical procedures (e.g. Interest Expense Reasonableness Testing)
- Reviewing of financial statements in accordance with GAPSME and IFRS
- Expense substantive test of details (vouching of invoices)
- Preparation of adjusting journal entries
- Uploading of TBs and grouping accounts
- Financial Statement preparation
- Any other audit services required by the Client Bookkeeping
What will make you a great fit:
- CPA designation
- Has at least 5 years of work experience in audit
- You have experience managing assurance engagements including the planning, fieldwork and supervision of staff in a mid-sized firm.
- You have a thorough knowledge of ASPE, ASNFPO and CAS
- You excel in building client relationships, leading a team of energetic professionals and ensuring accounting work gets completed properly and on time.
- You have the confidence to oversee the preparation of audit, review and compilation working papers along with financial statements and appropriate disclosures all in accordance with GAAP.
- You ensure that corporate, trust and personal income tax returns are accurately prepared.
- You can direct your team to prepare special reports or financial forecasts or projects as per client requests.
- You can lead by example in training and mentoring your staff and developing and upholding firm standards.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills

- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work well with a team
