Brief Job Description:
We are seeking applications engineers who have experience or education background in power electronics circuit evaluation and design. Your immediate responsibilities will include construction, design, development, and optimization of hardware power tools as sales enablement supporting field applications and sales engineers for multi-market power. This hardware power tool will enable field to evaluate our best-in-class power products such as efficiency, transient performance, gain and phase response without the use of sophisticated equipment. You will also work with the best field applications engineers in the industry developing and supporting state of the art circuit designs.
Job Responsibilities
Design, development, and construction of hardware power tools such as efficiency meter and power analyzer.
Test and design optimization of hardware power tools.
Provide user guides and technical notes related on the hardware power tools.
Hardware results correlation with software simulation tools (LTspice and LTpowerCAD).
Providing technical support to FAEs and key customers.
Providing technical training, seminars and webinars to the field and customers
Qualifications:
Graduate of BS Electronics or Electrical Engineering. MS Engineering degree is an advantage.
Must be a team player.
Minimum 4 yrs. Industry experience on Power Electronics with strong analog and digital electronics foundation
Strong theoretical knowledge on power electronics with background on low drop-out linear regulators and different SMPS topologies such as Buck, Boost, Forward, Fly-back and other derived DC-DC converter topologies is an advantage.
Knowledge on analog signal chain such as data converters, amplifiers, etc. is an advantage.
Strong analytical skills with systematic approach in solving complex problems.
Knowledge in handling and using wide range of bench equipment is preferrable (power supplies, electronic loads, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzer, multimeters, etc.).
Familiarity with circuit simulator and design tools is preferable (such as LTSpice, Simplis/Simetrix, MATLAB, Simulink, LTPowerCAD).
Familiarity with CAD tools for PCB development is an advantage (e.g., Cadence Allegro, PADS, or any other equivalent PCB design tool).
Software development background is an advantage.
