Job Description
Assisting the Principal Engineer in the technical direction, resource management, planning, mentoring and training of a team of geotechnical engineers and geologists.
Communicate directly with Clients and Fugro's project management team to ensure requirements are met.
Technically manage a portfolio of various sized projects within billed allowances, ensuring compliance with the specification and delivery of projects to programme dates.
Delegate and distribute project responsibilities to junior staff and oversee their work.
Provide geotechnical consultancy tasks on liquefaction and seismic hazard assessments, advice on design for deep and shallow foundations, analysis and interpretation of geotechnical ground data, slope stability analysis.
Review and approval of data provided by laboratory and geotechnical engineers.
To be successful, you must be:
Locally registered in Civil Engineering
Demonstrable experience within the Geotechnical Engineering profession, with relevant experience within the onshore or marine sector
Knowledgeable in gINT, Leapfrog, Rocscience, Plaxis
Capable of generating a safe and quality-based culture within the team
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
A good team player and able to form working relationships with clients and colleagues at all levels
