REQ12025 Senior Engineer, Casino Systems (Open Date: 28/10/2024)
Position Summary
The Senior Engineer, Casino Systems will have a wide breadth of technical skills to bridge the support and project gaps between infrastructure, IT application development staffs and corporate IT support teams. He/she will perform daily application support, new project implementation and life cycle management of casino systems.
Primary Responsibilities
- Maintains and provides L2 shared services support for complex enterprise based casino systems across all MCE properties at various geographical locations
- As a company's casino systems subject matter expert
- Proactively reviews the existing knowledge base for enhancement / standardization whenever necessary
- Performs in-house technical training for L1, L1.5 support and other IT staff as required
- Assures that all tasks assigned to the analysts are performed in a timely complete Manner
- Identifies potential showstoppers, issues and escalates to management
- Gathers data needed to populate system profiles, master files and dictionaries for maintenance purposes
- Participates in the identification and resolution of moderately complex application problems and procedures, suggesting solutions to identified problem
- Responsible in responding to issues, questions and requests related to the Gaming Systems
- Performs in-house technical training for other IT staff and end user training as Required
- Provides assistance to junior staff on project related tasks such as prioritization and trouble shooting
- Responsible for routine communication to vendors, users, department heads and project team members on issues, project status, software enhancements and fixes
Qualifications
I. Experience
- 1-2 years of relevant Casino industry experience required
- Must possess working experience with slot systems
- Exposure to Casino and Hotel integration required
- Implementation, business process re-engineering, solution design, customization, integration, and/or support of Casino Application systems
II. Education
Bachelor's Degree Or Equivalent Relevant Qualifications
III. Skills / Competencies
- Able to monitor and assessing the overall operational effectiveness of the project output to ensure that expectations in terms of timeline, quality assurance and performance are met
- Good working knowledge of the processes and procedures that will be in use and how these relate to the operation of IT Systems within the Casino
- Good interpersonal skills
- Self-motivated and able to work under pressure
- Good problem solving and decision making skills to identify and resolve priority issues
- Able to communicate with all level of users
- Possess good leadership skills and have experience in 24x7 large operations support environment
