Job Title: Senior Energy Trader
Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Energy Trader, with a focus on optimizing trading strategies and maximizing profitability in the energy market. This role will involve managing day-to-day trading activities, monitoring market trends, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct capacity forecasting and analysis to refine trading strategies and identify profitable opportunities.
- Execute daily trading activities within the energy market, including submission of bilateral contracts.
- Monitor and assess price movements and projections in both retail and wholesale electricity markets to inform trading decisions.
- Process billing determinants and statements for Power Supply Agreements (PSA) and the Wholesale Electricity Spot Market (WESM).
- Coordinate with key stakeholders, including the Independent Electricity Market Operator of the Philippines (IEMOP) and the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP), to address any operational trading issues.
- Prepare and maintain comprehensive internal trading and compliance reports for management review.
- Perform additional tasks as required by the immediate supervisor.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years experience in energy trading, with specific expertise in the Wholesale Electricity Spot Market (WESM).
- Strong analytical skills, particularly in capacity forecasting and market trend analysis.
- Excellent communication and coordination abilities to effectively interact with industry stakeholders.
- Proficient in preparing detailed trading reports and documentation.
- Highly adaptable, with the ability to handle various tasks and responsibilities as required.
