Job Description:- Designs, Builds and Maintains the Database Systems to Support the Growing Business of iPay
Establish and improve the Database Backup, HA and DR Policies and Strategies.- Perform technical support, troubleshoot and provide Root Cause Analysis on complex issues effectively and efficiently in line with the SLA required by the business.
Provide emergency support and coordination, and on-call support as required.
- Resolve and manage advanced to complex service requests in adherence with service level agreements.
Monitor and review environments using tools, logs, and log analysis and respond to alerts by following procedures or escalating them.- Review existing document procedures, records and inventory.
Review and define operating procedures used for day-to-day support, installation guides, housekeeping procedures, etc.
- Perform complex ad-hoc requests.
Perform advanced to complex database software installation and configuration- Perform advanced to complex database administration and monitoring.
Leads major tasks activities including disaster recovery.
- Performs tuning to improve the efficiency and to maximize the availability of database environments and the like.
Creates scripts for monitoring and to automate administrative tasks.- Provides improvement to any services under IT infrastructure.
Ensure that information security policy is considered and always followed, recommends any changes to policy and approved policy changes are documented.
- Participate in PCI DSS audit process.
Assist superiors and other engineers on other tasks and projects as needed.- Train, KT and delegate tasks to trainees and associates.
Minimum bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Information Technology or relevant fields.- Advanced Knowledge and experience in SQL Server, PostgreSQL and MySQL.
Ability to handle database buildups and advanced installations in database technologies.
- Ability to perform advanced database operational tasks in both Windows and Linux environment.
Ability to create and improve database security standards.- Ability to create intermediate database design and architecture.
Ability to perform advanced functional analysis and investigation on database related issues.
- Ability to perform daily health checks and monitoring activities on database services.
Ability to understand and modify TSQL.- Ability to perform Database and SQL performance tuning.
Ability to create and modify intermediate Shell/PowerShell Scripts.
- Good understanding of Network topologies and platforms.
Experience in handling PCI DSS Audit is a plus.- Experience with a payment gateway industry is a plus.
Experience with containerization is a plus.
- Knowledgeable with ITIL Process.
