I.GENERAL FUNCTION:
This position is primarily responsible for managing activities with the Modern Trade Account/s that will lead to business growth in his/her assigned area of responsibility.He/she ensures the achievement of the area's business objectives through proper trade inventory management, brand distribution, and merchandising.He/she monitors and controls the Accounts performance, and operating expense budget.
II.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.Develops the annual business plan for his/her assigned Account/s. Responsible for growing the business based on YTD targets and making sure that this is aligned to the general corporate sales and marketing strategy.Executes the said plan upon approval of management.
2.Spearhead on Account negotiations and responsible for the growth, development and profitability of assigned Accounts.
3.Increase total sales of handled Account/s and maintaining the cost to sales ratio versus sales (ISP & DA) .
4.Coordinate with Management and secure approval of trade marketing and business development projects.Responsible for the implementation, review and monitoring of trade marketing and merchandising activities for the assigned Account/s.
5.Negotiates and coordinates with the Accounts into achieving consistent and sustainable business growth through customer and trade development efforts such as: in-store promotions, trade marketing and other programs/activities.
6.Establish and maintain excellent rapport with owners, buyers and managers of all accounts to ensure good sales and implementation of programs.
7.Monitor and ensures proper trade inventory management by monitoring stock availability and replenishment from the factory, to the accounts/s. Including purchase order management delivery lead time, Order Fill Rate, trade returns and Account Receivable/s.
8.Implements the prescribed trade inventory management system of the company, and negotiates and sets the agreed stocking level (ASL) with the company's trade partners.
9.Prepares the sales forecast and budget for his/her assigned Accounts and establishes the allocation of this forecast / budget.Regularly updates the forecast and submits the same to the Customer Development Manager.
10.Handle product positioning, merchandising, marketing of new and current products and similar trade deals of assigned accounts.
11.Directs his/her Account to achieve their volume targets consistently and ensure a smooth flow of transactions through balanced sales inflow on a week-to-week basis; where weekly sales volume transactions are between 25% to 30% of the total month's volume.
12.Prepares a performance appraisal of his/her assigned Account, and identifies areas of opportunities for improvement and business building.Prepares an action plan and implements the same to tap such opportunities.
13.Conducts a monthly business review with his/her Account, and updates them on new directions.Submits a copy of the minutes of the meeting, summarizing action steps and agreements.
14.Promotes and upholds the company's mission, vision, and core values at all times, bearing in mind that these are the bases of business decisions involving the company.
