We currently have an exciting career opportunity in one of our global affiliates for Senior Consultants to join our Managed Services Accountingand Outsourcing Solution team in our Philippines office.

CohnReznick is a hybrid firm most of our professionals are located within a commutable distance to one of our offices. This position is considered remote which means it does not require job duties be performed within proximity of a CohnReznick office location. However, as a remote employee, you may be required to be present at a CohnReznick office with scheduled notice for client work, team meetings, or trainings.

Note: This is a full-time position and will require flexibility to work US eastern time zone hours

YOUR TEAM.

The Managed Services and Outsourcing solution team is a rapidly growing team, where we partner with our clients to perform accounting and technology services. Our goal is to leverage the best staff, cutting edge technology, and efficient processes to exceed our clients expectations. Some of our services include outsourced accounting, financial statement close assistance, virtual controller/CFO services, and accounting technology solution development

YOUR ROLE.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Independently perform accounting services for client, including but not limited to:
  • Transaction processing (accounts payable/receivable, cash receipt, sales, etc.)
  • Reconciliations of accounts (bank, credit card, prepaids, liabilities, payroll, etc.)
  • Calculating accruals, prepaid expenses, deferred revenues, etc.
  • Recording journal entries
  • Preparing and filing informational returns (1099s, sales tax, etc.)
  • Preparing workpapers to support financial statements
  • Preparing the financial statements and client reports
  • Provide final review of client deliverables
  • Support associates with client work and developing their skills
  • Proactively communicate with clients and internal stakeholders
  • Perform thorough self-review of all work prior to submission for final review
  • Develop proficiency in use of all technology necessary for performance and execution of work, and acts as a resource for other staff
  • Ensure quality control procedures are being followed and executed; Identifies areas for process improvement for client work and/or practice operations
  • Build and maintain positive client, colleague, and internal stakeholder relationships
  • Develop efficient work habits to support the organization and work within budgetary (both time and deadline) parameters
  • Communicate difficult situations encountered on engagements to leadership
  • Maintain appropriate compliance with all firm wide policies and procedures
  • Participate in mentoring, recruiting, retention and team-building activities directly related to job responsibilities
  • Proactively seek knowledge, new tasks, and responsibilities
  • Follows regulation and professional ethics of the AICPA and the state society

YOUR EXPERIENCE.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Accounting Degree. CPA preferred but not required
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
  • Proven ability to drive and lead corporate accounting processes and procedures such as cash management, AR/AP, month end close, payroll and benefits
  • Strong GAAP experience along with hands on experience performing controllership functions related to consolidations, GL close and financial reporting
  • Strong communication, documentation, and presentation skills
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills, being highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio, Project)
  • QBO, Yardi, NetSuite and Sage Intacct experience preferred
  • Accuracy and attention to detail; Aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills
  • Action-oriented (self-starter, team player, detail-oriented)
  • Must be able to handle multiple priorities and effectively meet critical deadlines
  • Significant knowledge of accounting and finance processes and functions
  • Strong understanding of financial statement preparation and analysis
