About the role
The role involves designing, developing, implementing, and maintaining a multi-account AWS cloud infrastructure, ensuring best practices are followed while managing deployments and troubleshooting issues. Additionally, the position requires collaboration with business application teams to optimize deployment pipelines and promote DevSecOps practices.
Responsibilities
- Design and manage multi-account AWS cloud infrastructure.
- Ensure compliance with industry best practices and standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve AWS cloud environment issues.
- Optimize deployment pipelines using agile methodologies.
- Facilitate the transition from on-premise systems to AWS cloud services.
- Conduct research on new AWS features and recommend enhancements.
- Promote DevSecOps practices across IT teams.
- Automate infrastructure and orchestrate workloads using scripts and coding.
- Implement infrastructure-as-code for cloud workload provisioning.
- Build CI/CD tooling and adhere to DevSecOps best practices.
- Provide guidance to junior AWS engineers and team members.
- Collaborate closely with application development teams to ensure adherence to cloud architecture standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelors or masters degree in Information Systems or a related field
- 7+ years in a similar roleas a Cloud DevOps Engineer, preferably in the financial industry and international setting
- Strong practical understanding of cloud architecture
- Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code and CI/CD pipeline tooling (Terraform, Gitlab)
- Knowledge of cloud-native development and serverless computing
- Knowledge of networking concepts
- Understanding and practical experience of SDLC processes and Agile methodologies as well as ITSM/ITIL
- Strong skills in personal organization, prioritization, project management and complex problem solving
- Strong presentation skills and ability to present and sell her/his ideas/projects to senior stakeholders
- Relevant Industry certifications would be advantageous (AWS, Terraform, Gitlab, etc.)
