Job SummaryThe Senior Buyer will be responsible for managing purchasing activities across multiple categories, ensuring cost-effective procurement and timely delivery of goods and services essential to our operations.
- Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop and implement strategic sourcing strategies to optimize supplier base and achieve cost savings targets.
- Lead negotiations with suppliers to secure advantageous terms and pricing agreements.
Evaluate supplier performance based on quality standards, delivery times, and cost-effectiveness.- Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends and opportunities for improvement within assigned categories.
Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and contracts.
- Monitor inventory levels and place orders as needed to ensure adequate stock while minimizing excess inventory.
Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as regulatory requirements.
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.- Proven experience as a Buyer or Purchasing Agent, with at least 3 to 5 years in procurement roles.
Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain effective supplier relationships.
- Solid understanding of sourcing and procurement techniques, including supplier evaluation and contract management.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.- Proficiency in procurement software and MS Office; knowledge of ERP systems preferred.
