Reporting directly to the Business and Corporate Development Director closely with other Business Unit heads, the Senior Business Development Manager is responsible for supporting the business development activities of the agency to enrich the company's portfolio and support the growth targets as decided by the Board. The Senior Business Development Manager will supervise the Business Development Officers/ Assistants in their performance of lead generation, presentation development, follow-ups, and contract finalization.
- LEADS GENERATION AND MANAGEMENT
- Actively researches and expands untapped channels for lead generation
Supervises the Business Development Officer's management of business leads that were generated through EON's website, public biddings, and referrals from EON's network partners, and the EON team.
- Actively participates and represents EON in select client and industry engagements to expand the company's network and knowledge
Monitors all leads regularly and generate insights on business and industry trends
- CLIENT RELATIONS AND INFORMATION CASCADE
- Manages and constantly updates leads
Develops responses to requests for proposals- Keep open communications with inactive leads for future engagements
Directs the research activities about a brand or project prior to scheduled meetings and presentations
- Masters and presents EON Group's credentials and answer client queries as necessary
Actively participates in client briefings and gather from client the necessary information to develop and complete project briefs for the reference of the servicing teams- Cascades all information provided by client and shares initial industry and brand research on hand to the business development and servicing teams
Corresponds with clients for further clarifications and requirements necessary to proceed with the proposal development
- Undertakes post-engagement initiatives to sustain client relationships for future engagements
- PROPOSAL AND STRATEGY DEVELOPMENT
- Conducts a comprehensive industry and brand research to be able to generate insights for the communication strategy
Leads the formation of strategic proposals in collaboration with the Strategic Planning team, including the research, insighting, strategy, and tactical plan; determines the Business Unit Lead based on client requirements
- Checks the costing for the proposed engagement that was developed by the Business Development Officers with the business units and finance officers
Checks final proposals to clients prior to submission or presentation to clients- Monitors its status and closely coordinates with client on further requirements to be submitted.
- CONTRACT FINALIZATION AND ACCOUNT TRANSITION
- Checks documentation of all agreements between the agency and the client such as contract, scope of work, and third party costs and ensure that all signatures from concerned parties are secured.
Provides copies of above mentioned documents to the client servicing team and Finance team for proper filing- Introduces the assigned client servicing team to the clients for proper transition
- Keeps updated with communication landscape and develops new business solutions or services that can be added to the company's suite of services
Works with the Corporate Development Team in developing and updating the company's strategic profile to respond to market needs and in sustaining positive visibility with target market to sustain industry leadership- Monitors and analyzes leads sources, quality of proposals, and post-engagement initiatives and strengthen best practices for each step
- KNOWLEDGE AND DATA MANAGEMENT
- Organizes and properly files Business Development-related documents for future reference in reports and pitch requirement
Tracks the progress of Business Development pitches and ensure that applicable internal reports and presentations are regularly updated for team's reference
- TEAM DEVELOPMENT AND MANAGEMENT
- Establishes and monitors staff performance and development goals, assigns accountabilities, and administers performance appraisals.
In close coordination with the Human Resources Unit, the Senior Business Development Manager takes an active roles in the designing and planning the team structure, in recruiting team members, and in monitoring their performance and career development
- Plans accurate unit budget and monitors expenses
Ensures optimal use of company resources
