General Responsibilities
Financial Reporting and Analysis
- Assist in preparing financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Conduct variance analysis and provide insights into financial performance to support decision-making.
Financial Compliance and Audit
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal financial policies.
- Assist in preparing for audits and provide necessary documentation and support to auditors.
Financial Operations Support
- Collaborate with internal teams to streamline financial processes and improve operational efficiency.
- Participate in ad-hoc projects and initiatives to support the overall goals of the finance department and the company.
Bookkeeping
- Recording of company transactions.
- Oversee weekly transaction cycles.
Month End Close
- Help in performing month end closing procedures in accordance with the month end close checklist.
- Maintain monthly schedules, disposition discrepancies and/or balances and record necessary adjusting entries.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Management, or a related field, with a demonstrated understanding of basic accounting principles.
- 2-3 years of experience in finance or accounting roles, preferably in the financial services or technology industry.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as Oracle NetSuite, or similar software like SAP, QuickBooks, or Xero, along with proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Knowledgeable in accounting operations.
- Enthusiastic for the accounting practices of the fintech industry, especially those involved in blockchain, crypto, digital assets
- All accounting/finance certifications (e.g., CPA, CMA, CFA, CTT, etc.) welcome as a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic startup environment.
