Senior API Inspector

Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced API Gateway Engineer with expertise in Kong Gateway to join our team. This role involves configuring, maintaining, and optimizing the API Gateway, managing plugin configurations, and ensuring seamless integrations with cloud technology. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, technically adept, and collaborative, with a proactive approach to troubleshooting and providing first-tier support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Configure and maintain the API Gateway, focusing on Kong Gateway
• Manage plugins and routing configurations to enhance gateway performance
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to automate testing and streamline upgrades
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to cloud technology as they pertain to the API Gateway
• Provide tier 1 support for tickets and participate in on-call support as required

Qualifications:

• Proven experience with Kong API Gateway or similar gateway technologies
• Strong understanding of cloud environments and integration practices
• Experience in troubleshooting and providing first-tier technical support
• Familiarity with automation tools and scripting for testing and upgrades
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with strong communication skills
