Review and assess the manual test cases created for the application under test and provide feedback on suitability for automation to the project team
Design, maintain, and execute automated test suites for web applications using Selenium or other equivalent functional testing tools in compliance with defined QA standards and methodologies
Troubleshoot, debug, and enhance automated test scripts as needed
Review the work of team members to help ensure quality of the team's deliverables
Help establish and configure testing environments for executing automated test cases and scenarios
Execute automated test scripts in accordance with the agreed scope and schedule
Monitor test results and report discrepancies using defect tracking tools
Validate defect fixes
Accurate and timely reporting of test progress, risks & issues in accordance with the project's risk and issue management plans
Work with the application team to resolve any issues that arise out of the testing process
Recommend improvements to existing policies / procedures and in matters relating to people, processes, and technology (e.g. through active participation in continuous improvement initiatives, quality teams, focus group discussions, root cause analyses, etc.) and then assisting in the implementation of improvements
Assist with manual functional testing as needed; execute manual test cases and scripts for products under development using test management/tracking tools
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience
Solid understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and where testing fits into the process
Proven work experience in Selenium test automation tool
Strong programming skills in languages such as Java, Python, or Ruby
Sound understanding of any automation frameworks (Data-Driven, Keyword-Driven, Hybrid-Driven, Modular-based, etc.)
Familiarity with version control systems like Git
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Flexibility and willingness to learn new technologies and tools
Willing to work in different time zones, if needed
Nice To Have
Selenium certification or other relevant certifications
Knowledge of continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) processes
Knowledge of front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
Experience with testing web applications, mobile applications, and APIs
Background on any test automation tool like Appium, Cypress, Katalon, etc.
