The Security Officer II will be responsible for all issues related to the security and protection of the company's employees, executives, facilities, patients and visitors which include but are not limited to: implementing the Security Management Plan, oversight of visitors, security screening, security risk assessments, security technology implementation and maintenance within established guidelines.
S/He will facilitate protection and resolution of theft, threats and other situations, that may endanger the organization. S/He will be accountable for the execution and design improvements of the company's security programs, security policies and procedures.
Additionally, s/he also monitors and evaluates security plans, focuses on prevention, results and assesses the attainment of outcomes.
- Job Duties and Responsibilities:
These tasks are subject to change depending on the nature of service of the division/department or business direction.
A. Planning and Organizing
- Maintains the effective and efficient execution of his/her tasks and responsibilities by ensuring consistent compliance with existing protocols, guidelines, processes, procedures and standards of the division, department, unit, and hospital.
- Plans, organizes, and coordinates activities in the department based on business needs or as required by the immediate superior; ensures efficient delivery of service in the department to meet the expectation of internal / external clients. Sample tasks maybe, but not limited to:
- Works independently, with oversight, to advise and assist personnel on matters of security policy, procedures, and regulations.
Assists in planning, writing and coordinating with law enforcement, and military elements for the facilities emergency preparedness plans, coordinates implementation of these plans, locally and at area and regional levels.
- Assists in and/or evaluates effectiveness of operations during simulated emergency exercises. Makes presentation to facility staff to encourage participation in emergency service programs.
Instructs courses on special and in-service training programs; supervises personnel on various training activities and maintenance of training records.- Conduct investigations on allegations against security personnel, examines and evaluates complaints of misconduct and prepares report findings.
Produces video and retrieves CCTV footages from CHH Control Room for investigation; analyzes and enhances CCTV footages for investigation and court presentation.
- Prepares clear, comprehensive and cohesive investigative reports and statistical data in a timely manner.
Checks sources of information and exhausts all efforts to obtain identification of offenders; prepares reports of investigation for presentation to the proper authorities and obtains complaints, appears in court to testify on results of investigation and nature of evidence.- Coordinates and interfaces with local emergency services and law enforcement on all issues pertaining to the security of the hospital and patients.
B. Analysis and Recommendations
- Receives and evaluates complaints and reports from the employees, patients, visitors, public and others;
- Participates in the creation of or recommends updates and changes in the policies and procedures to continuously improve the quality of service in the unit/area such as but not limited to:
- Recommends more efficient approach or change in the workflow
Review of the unit's standard operating procedures; recommends changes and/or updates as necessary.
C. Supervision on Security, Patrol & Enforcement
- Supervises the handling and transportation of detained individuals; reads and evaluates reports; records personnel duty time; supervises the maintenance of team files such as activity logs, reports and crime files; maintains equipment reports and inventories and is responsible for control
- Supervises assigned security support team in security duties; maintaining security of persons and property; effects and maintains liaison with facility administration and chief security officer/manager/Corporate Affairs Director on security matters.
- Supervises security personnel in major incidents, such as crime scenes in searching the immediate areas, obtaining statements and preserving evidence, searches persons wanted for violations and apprehends violators.
- Supervises security personnel assigned to assist in crime detection work; prepares reports showing progress on assigned areas.
D. Professional Development
- Personally plans for professional development by identifying skills and/or professional enhancement trainings through career discussion with the immediate superior; executes the plan and monitors progress and completion of trainings required to establish his/her career or skill set for the next likely role. Example:

- May be assigned in a project that aims to improve some specific areas of the department / section's services either working independently or with a cross-functional team. May be tasked to make necessary recommendations on performance of team members or cross-functional team members.
E. Others
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned or requested by immediate superior or management from time to time.
- Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree with a major in law enforcement, criminology or a closely related field.
- With three (3) years work experience in Loss Control Management and criminal investigation.
Preferably a Certified Security Professional- Knowledge in weapons and their use.
Knowledge of pertinent national and local laws, codes, and regulations.
- Knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques of forensic science and crime scene investigation.
In-depth knowledge in R.A. 5487-AN ACT TO REGULATE THE ORGANIZATION AND OPERATION OF PRIVATE DETECTIVE, WATCHMEN OR SECURITY GUARDS AGENCIES.- Possesses leadership qualities to aid in building, maintaining, and elevating relationships with CHH internal and external stakeholders and drive the achievement of business strategies and results. Qualities that would include, but are not limited to:

Sound administrative principles- Proficient in computer software applications and systems, including, but not limited to: Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint and Internet-based search and research.
Excellent English communication skills, both oral and written. Preferably, can communicate in Visayan and Tagalog language.
