A Security Officer is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment within the Autohub Group locations. Their primary role is to prevent and deter criminal activity, protect property and assets, and ensure the safety of individuals present in the area they are assigned to.
- Monitor and patrol assigned areas, using various security equipment such as CCTV cameras, alarms, and access control systems. They keep a watchful eye for any suspicious activities, unauthorized individuals, or security breaches.
Control access to premises or restricted areas by verifying credentials, checking identification, and issuing visitor passes or badges. They ensure that only authorized personnel or visitors gain entry to designated areas.- Respond promptly to security incidents, emergencies, or alarms. This includes investigating disturbances, assessing the situation, and taking appropriate actions to resolve conflicts, diffuse potentially dangerous situations, or notify the necessary authorities.
Manage large gatherings or events by implementing crowd control measures, maintaining order, and ensuring the safety of attendees. They may guide people during evacuations or direct traffic if necessary.
- Document and maintain accurate records of security incidents, observations, and activities in written reports. These reports are essential for reference, investigations, and legal purposes.
Conduct regular inspections and security checks of premises, equipment, or vehicles to identify any vulnerabilities or risks. They may also perform searches or screenings to prevent the entry of prohibited items or substances.- Familiarize themselves with emergency protocols, evacuation procedures, and safety plans. They assist in implementing emergency response measures during fires, natural disasters, or other crises.
Provide excellent customer service by assisting visitors, employees, or customers with inquiries, directions, or general assistance. They may also serve as a point of contact for reporting safety concerns or incidents.
- Coordinate and cooperate with law enforcement agencies, emergency services, or other security personnel to address security issues or investigations.
Stay updated on security best practices, policies, and procedures. They may also conduct training sessions or orientations for employees, educating them on security awareness and protocols.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as Security Officer
Knowledge of legal guidelines for area security and public safety
- Familiarity with report writing
Excellent surveillance and observation skills, CCTV operation and maintenance- Tech-savvy with experience in surveillance systems
Trained in First Aid/BLS and self-defense
