We are seeking a dedicated Full-Time Secretarial Support Staff to join our team and contribute to our continued success. He/she will manage our social media presence, handle administrative tasks, support membership growth, plan and organize events, and travel annually for our conference.
He/she needs to be highly organized, proactive, and independent. The role requires excellent communication skills, a methodical approach to tasks, and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
Social Media Management:
To manage Walla Walla's social media presence, particularly the LinkedIn profile. Create and curate engaging content to increase visibility and engagement, interact with followers, and monitor analytics to enhance our online presence.Meeting Support:
To schedule and coordinate meetings, prepare agendas and distribute them to participants, attend meetings, take accurate minutes, and distribute them to relevant parties promptly. Ensure action points are followed up and completed.Membership Growth: To develop and implement strategies to attract new members to the network and grow network membership. To maintain and update the membership database and engage with potential and existing members to enhance their experience, provide information about benefits, and assist with the registration process.
- Event Planning and Organization: To plan, organise and coordinate events, including the annual conference. Handle all arrangements such as venue booking, logistics, catering, and accommodation to ensure smooth execution. Ensure all necessary arrangements are made for a smooth and successful event.
Administrative Tasks:
To provide general secretarial and administrative support to the network as needed, including handling correspondence and inquiries, maintaining records, and managing schedules.Travel:
Be willing to travel once a year to attend and support the annual conference.Language Proficiency:
Strong command of English (both spoken and written).Communication Skills:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Initiative and Independence: Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and take initiative.
- Organizational Skills: Methodical, with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
Social Media Savvy:
Experience in managing LinkedIn or other professional social media platforms.Event Management:
Proven experience in planning and organizing events.Passport: Valid passport and willingness to travel internationally.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other relevant software.
- Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor Degree in any discipline.
