The SEC Liaison - Corporate Secretarial Services Staff supports the Corporate Secretarial Services Unit (CSSU) and, when necessary, the Legal Services Unit. The successful candidate will manage and facilitate various applications and requests with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and other government and regulatory agencies. This role requires effective coordination, tracking, and reporting of all regulatory applications and fostering strong relationships with external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist CSSU and Legal Services Unit with various SEC-related applications and requests, including:
- Incorporation of new companies
- Amendments to articles of incorporation and by-laws
- Monitoring and securing clearances and permits
- Coordinate with relevant government and regulatory agencies to facilitate the release of permits, licenses, and approvals.
- Report and update CSSU on the status of SEC and other government and regulatory applications.
- Follow up on pending matters related to SEC and regulatory applications.
- Provide assistance in filing, processing, and securing documents and applications with various government agencies.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with government agencies and other external stakeholders.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree from a recognized institution.
- 35 years of proven experience in liaising and transacting directly with the SEC, particularly in SEC incorporation and other regulatory applications.
- Established and reliable network within the SEC and other government and regulatory agencies.
Technical Skills and Competencies:
- Strong understanding of SEC requirements, processes, and documentation.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines under pressure.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders.
