Qualifications:
- Education: A Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or any relevant field.
Experience: At least 2-3 years of relevant experience as bookkeeper, preferably in the educational setting.- Skills: Strong administrative and leadership skills are a must.
Communication: Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial analysis.
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively to meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
Knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance requirements, such as Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and integrity in financial operations.
Key Responsibilities:- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for Life Academy International.
Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, including invoicing, payments, and collections.
- Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and other financial accounts regularly to ensure accuracy.
Assist in the preparation of financial reports, such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.- Prepare and remit monthly payments to government agencies (SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-Ibig, and taxes).
Support budgeting and forecasting activities by providing financial data and analysis.
- Monitor budget variances and provide explanations for any discrepancies.
Ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and regulations.- Assist with audits and financial reviews conducted by external auditors or regulatory agencies.
Maintain confidentiality of financial information and exercise discretion in handling sensitive data.
- Collaborate with other administrative staff and departments to address financial inquiries and resolve issues.
Stay informed about changes in accounting standards and regulations relevant to educational institutions.- And ad hoc task as requires
