This is a leadership role working directly with the Senior Management team with primary responsibility to drive transformational change through the continuous deployment of digital and AI technologies at scale for competitive advantage. Responsibility includes the development and execution of the Digital and AI Transformation strategy and plan for the company, driving the agenda of innovation and value generation through maturing the digital and AI landscape and technology adoption across the enterprise.
Transformative Digital and AI Leadership
- Be a catalyst of transformative change driven by the utilization of Digital and AI technologies as well as the adoption of the culture and discipline required to institutionalize change e.g., an agile way of working.
Leads partnerships with business units to understand their business objectives, priorities, and pain points, and advocates how digital and AI technologies can address them- Regularly communicates/evangelizes to the stakeholders on the value generated from Digital and AI transformation.
Maintains regular and appropriate communication with customer teams and internal teams at multiple organizational levels
Digital and AI Transformation Strategy Development and Planning
- Led the development of the Digital and AI Transformation Strategy and 3-year Plan ensuring alignment with the 1AP strategic goals and objectives while exploiting Digital and AI capabilities for maximum value generation
Develop the overall aspiration/vision and strategic imperatives of Digital and AI Transformation for the Enterprise- Conceptualizes, articulates, and executes various types of strategic and operational digital and AI transformation initiatives, ranging from customer experience to operational strategy to process improvement
Continuously scans, assesses, and develops business cases of emerging digital and AI technology trends and relevance to the company's digital transformation vision and plan
- Creates and implements strategy on digital upskilling and instilling digital competencies within the organization
Understand and analyze various drivers impacting key metrics and outcomes and provide a fact-based recommendation to the stakeholders
Digital and AI Transformation Portfolio Management- Provides oversight over the Digital and AI Proof-of-Concept (POC) portfolio ensuring that appropriate governance is in place
Manages the different Digital and AI verticals on the delivery of the POC portfolio, maintaining the project plan, and overseeing the delivery process to keep POCs on track (eg. deliverables, milestones, resources, and costs)
- Regularly updates stakeholders (e.g., Technology Council) on the status of the portfolio
Ensures enabling framework/structure is in place to ensure portfolio success and ultimately value generation e.g., Data Governance Framework
Stakeholder Management- Obtains buy-in of senior management, Mancom particularly, on the Digital and AI Transformation Strategy and Plan. Manages expectations both in terms of outcome and help needed.
Drives interface with all interested parties to identify stakeholders and plan the engagements to ensure that effective relationships are established for the digital and AI portfolio.
- Negotiates to ensure that internal and external senior stakeholders understand and agree on what will meet their needs and that appropriate agreements are defined and actively used as a guide
Actively manages relationships with the internal and external senior stakeholders, and is the ultimate escalation point for issue resolution.
Technical Support- Gathers data to assist in the decision-making of senior management
Assist in budget cycle and business reviews
- From time to time, takes on ad-hoc projects as assigned
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science in Computer, or related field
Professional: 7-10 years of Digital Strategy, Technology Experience particularly Digital and AI- Leadership: Assumed transformative leadership role that includes culture change and ways of doing things
Project: Experience in concurrently managing multiple projects either as a program or individually
- Preferred certificate in Innovation, Digital Technologies, Change Management, and/or Portfolio or Program Management
Renewable Energy sector background is a huge plus
