Job Summary:
As a Senior SAP Basis Consultant, you will play a leading role in the administration, configuration, and management of SAP environments, focusing on the implementation and support of SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud. You will collaborate closely with functional and technical teams to ensure successful deployment, integration, and optimization of SAP systems within the cloud.
Key Responsibilities:
SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud Implementation:
- Lead and provide expert guidance for the technical implementation of SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud, including the initial setup, configuration, and customization.
- Architect and deploy SAP Fiori, S/4HANA, and other critical SAP modules within the cloud environment, ensuring high availability and optimal performance.
- Manage the integration of SAP S/4HANA with other third-party cloud and on-premise systems, ensuring smooth and seamless business processes.
Advanced System Administration & Performance Optimization:
- Proactively monitor and manage the SAP system landscape, including tuning, troubleshooting, and optimizing SAP systems for maximum performance.
- Conduct root-cause analysis and resolve complex technical issues related to SAP infrastructure, system downtime, or performance bottlenecks.
- Oversee SAP transports, user management, and roles/authorizations for SAP S/4HANA systems.
Migration & Upgrade Strategy:
- Lead and support the migration of SAP environments to S/4HANA Public Cloud, managing data migration, custom developments, and system enhancements.
- Manage SAP system upgrades, patches, and release management processes for S/4HANA solutions.
- Drive system innovation and improvements during migrations while maintaining the integrity of business operations.
Cloud Infrastructure Management:
- Lead efforts to configure, manage, and optimize SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud environments, working directly with cloud service providers (AWS, Azure, Google cloud) to ensure SAP environments are highly available, secure, and cost-effective.
- Handle cloud resource management, including storage, compute, and networking, ensuring the right infrastructure for SAP workloads.
Security & Compliance Leadership:
- Ensure the security and compliance of SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud, including implementing best practices for user access, data protection, and privacy protocols.
- Maintain high security standards, ensure regular patching of security vulnerabilities, and ensure SAP solutions comply with relevant regulations and company policies.
Leadership & Mentorship:
- Provide leadership to junior SAP Basis team members, guiding them through technical challenges and fostering skills development.
- Work closely with the project management office (PMO) and other cross-functional teams to deliver successful SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud implementations.
- Participate in knowledge sharing and continuous improvement efforts to enhance team and organizational SAP capabilities.
Collaboration & Documentation:
- Collaborate with SAP functional consultants, developers, and stakeholders to ensure business requirements are met through technical solutions.
- Develop and maintain detailed technical documentation, including system configurations, troubleshooting guides, and deployment strategies.
- Lead post-implementation support and ensure continuous system improvements and optimizations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7+ years of experience in SAP Basis administration, with at least 3+ years working on SAP S/4HANA.
- Proven expertise in SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud implementations, migrations, and optimizations.
- Deep understanding of SAP Cloud Platform, SAP Fiori, and integration strategies with third-party systems.
- Strong experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure or Google cloud.
- Expertise in performance tuning, troubleshooting, and system monitoring for SAP environments.
- Solid knowledge of SAP Solution Manager, SAP HANA, SAP NetWeaver, and SAP Transport Management System (TMS).
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to lead complex technical projects to successful outcomes.
- Ability to lead and mentor junior consultants and effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
