Job Summary:
As a Level 2 Salesforce Engineer at ProV International, you will be responsible for developing and enhancing our Salesforce solutions. You will tackle complex problems and provide scalable solutions using Apex, Visualforce, and Lightning Components. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions within Salesforce.
Key Responsibilities:
Development and Customization:
- Write, maintain, and optimize Apex classes, triggers, and batch processes.
- Develop highly customized Visualforce pages and Lightning components.
- Implement integrations with third-party services using REST or SOAP APIs.
Technical Design:
- Participate in the design of scalable and robust solutions within Salesforce.
- Create technical specifications and system designs for new features or enhancements.
Code Review and Maintenance:
- Perform peer code reviews to ensure coding standards and best practices are followed.
- Maintain and enhance existing Salesforce applications for optimal functionality and performance.
Testing and Debugging:
- Develop and execute unit tests, integration tests, and performance tests.
- Debug and fix issues in existing software, ensuring robust and error-free deployments.
Deployment:
- Manage the deployment process, including sandbox environment management and production releases.
- Use Salesforce deployment tools like Change Sets, ANT, or Salesforce CLI.
Collaboration and Support:
- Work closely with Salesforce Administrators and business analysts to understand requirements and provide technical support.
- Assist in user acceptance testing and provide post-deployment support to end users.
Continuous Learning:
- Stay updated with the latest Salesforce features and technology advancements.
- Acquire new certifications as needed and participate in internal and external training sessions.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
- 2+ years of experience in Salesforce development.
- Proficient with Apex, Visualforce, and Lightning Web Components.
- Experience with Salesforce APIs and integration techniques.
- Strong understanding of Salesforce best practices, governor limits, and design patterns.
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies.
- Salesforce Platform Developer I certification is required; Platform Developer II is highly preferred.
Additional Skills (Preferred):
- Experience with front-end technologies (JavaScript, HTML, CSS).
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines in a Salesforce context.
- Experience with data migration and ETL tools.
