In order to be successful, you must collaborate with business analysts, project managers, and end-users to gather and analyze requirements for new applications or enhancements to existing ones. Then use this information to design and develop solutions that align with the company's goals and expectations.
You will need to utilize programming languages like Apex, Visualforce, and Lightning Components. In addition, you'll also use web development technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to create custom applications, user interfaces, and integrations with other systems. You'll work with Salesforce APIs to enable seamless data exchange between Salesforce and external platforms.
In addition, Salesforce developers are responsible for ensuring the quality and performance of their solutions. This involves creating and executing test plans, debugging, and resolving any issues that may arise. They also provide ongoing support and maintenance for the applications they develop, addressing any problems or enhancements needed over time.
Work cross-functionally with all stakeholders at the company who utilize SFDC- Design optimal workflows that improve user experience
Problem solving: debugging and troubleshooting to resolve issues and optimize performance
- Participate in the planning/analysis of business requirements for system changes and enhancements
Remain current with Salesforce technologies and best practices- Ownership of building and maintaining all SFDC integrations
Secure, harden and enhance Salesforce and corresponding revenue data
- Maintaining a workboard with stories, epics, in process, done and backlog work in order to track, plan and communicate
Minimum 3-5 years of SFDC experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field but experience and passion trump all
Proven experience as a Salesforce Developer, with a strong portfolio of custom Salesforce applications and integrations- Advanced knowledge of Salesforce permissions, roles, reports, dashboards, etc.
Proficiency in Salesforce development technologies including Apex, Visualforce, and Lightning Components
- Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other web development technologies
Ability to gather and analyze requirements, translating them into effective technical solutions- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate effectively with business analysts, project managers, and end-users.
Experience in creating and executing test plans to ensure high quality
- Experience building dev, test, stage, deploy processes with SFDC
Experience integrating third-party applications into SFDC, including market apps such as Gong, HubSpot, Novidea, and Matrix Velocity, leveraging workflow tools like Zapier or Workato, and via RESTful APIs.- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Salesforce Certification as a SFDC developer, architect, consultant or multiple
- Experience with project management tool such as Jira and or Asana
