As a Travel Sales Trainer, your role is to develop and deliver training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of Travel Sales Agents. You will be responsible for creating training materials, conducting sessions, and evaluating the effectiveness of training initiatives. The goal is to ensure that the sales team is well-equipped with the necessary skills to excel in promoting and selling travel products.
Job Responsibilities:
- Working with the Training & Development Manager in taking ownership of the delivery of Basic Training including but not limited to mentoring and assisting new hires.
- Developing and delivering training modules under specified timelines adhering to organizational standards and legal regulations.
- Conducting role-playing activities during New Hire Training to develop soft skills (e.g. negotiation, problem solving and effective communication), utilizing program-specific assessment criteria for measuring effectiveness of training.
- Maintaining updated records of training curricula and material.
- Facilitating floor & refresher trainings.
- Identifying strengths and training needs of the trainees and provide feedback as deemed necessary as guided.
- Motivating team through effective management, career development & implementation of reporting mechanisms
- Performing Training Needs Analysis to support operations on their areas of improvement (AOIs).
- Managing Training and Quality for assigned batch.
- Keeping up to date on the process knowledge through floor observations, calibrations, and Quality updates.
- Continuing to do outreaches during non-training days as guided.
- Completing training-related reports/trackers. Analysis of reports including process dashboards, team performance reports, initiating appropriate actions plans & initiate trainings.
- Responsible for sharing all reports with the stakeholders in a timely manner.
Job Requirements:
- Proven experience in training and development, preferably in the travel or hospitality industry.
- Strong understanding of travel products, sales techniques, and customer service principles.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to motivate and engage learners.
- Knowledge of training methodologies and adult learning principles.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Proficiency in using training tools and technologies.
