Responsibilities:- Develop OHS policies and programs.
Advise on safety topics (e.g., noise levels, machinery use).- Conduct risk assessments and enforce preventative measures.
Review and update policies according to legislation.
- Organize OHS training for employees
Inspect premises and personnel work for safety compliance.- Oversee installations, maintenance, and substance disposal.
Prepare reports and provide statistical information to management.
Proven experience as safety officer
- In depth knowledge of legislation (e.g. OSHA/EPA) and procedures
Knowledge of potentially hazardous materials or practices- Experience in writing reports and policies for health and safety
Certificate in occupational health and safety
