Job Summary:
To develop and administer programs to ensure employee safety and agency compliance with safety, health and environmental regulations for specified facilities, operations and the visiting public.
Qualifications/Education:
- Bachelor's Degree Graduate of Mechanical or Electrical Engineering course
Minimum two (2) to three (3) years of working experience in Manufacturing Industry- Knowledge in handling manpower
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Inspects facilities observing operations and activities, investigating health and safety complaints and ensuring that the district is in compliance with safety regulations.
- Observes work in progress, ensures that proper safety equipment is worn and procedures are followed.
- Coordinates and consults with the management regarding health and safety issues in their respective areas and notified management staff regarding violation of safety regulations and odes.
- Make recommendations for corrections and follow up to ensure that violations have been corrected.
- Develops policies, plans and procedures to minimize risk to the system and employees.
- Administers the occupational injured workers program, worker's compensation; compiles, analyzes and interprets accident, injury and lost time statistics and cost data reports for the management
- Resolves complaints and makes recommendations to management for corrective action, as required.
- Conducts or provides for employee safety training, including lectures, seminars demonstrations of hands-on instruction.
- Reviews accidents and makes recommendation for prevention of similar future incidents.
