Job Description:
Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive safety programs, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
Conduct regular risk assessments and hazard identification analyses to identify potential workplace hazards. Recommend and implement corrective actions to mitigate risks.
Lead investigations into workplace incidents, accidents, or near misses. Identify root causes and implement corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of safety-related activities, including incident reports, inspections, and training documentation. Prepare and submit regulatory compliance reports as required.
Conduct regular safety inspections and audits of facilities, equipment, and processes. Collaborate with relevant departments to address identified safety concerns.
Job Qualifications:
Must be a licensed Mining Engineer
At least one (1) year of experience in safety engineering, with a focus on mining operations.
A minimum of forty (4) hours of certification in occupational health and safety or relevant professional certification is a plus.
