JOB PURPOSE:
The Safety and Compliance is responsible in maintaining compliance to environmental policies set by the national laws in Bulacan Distribution Center. It will ensure that the facilities are compliant with Good Storage and Distribution Practices.
This position is responsible for the following processes (Fleet and Vehicle Management, DC Activity (P-Count Christmas Party and many more) Archiving Management, Outsource Tracking and Housekeeping Management) and Human Resources Activity.
SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
Waste Management
- Oversee the waste management program and guidelines for the Distribution Center (DC) and comply with DENR regulations (SMR / CMR preparations)
Responsible for coordinating reports on environmental incidents, dangerous occurrences, injuries, and accidents.- In charge of the implementation of the Company's Environmental Management System at the DC
Responsible for monitoring and preparation of reports to government agencies like DENR.
- Conduct site induction, training forum, and toolbox talk, as appropriate, to provide instruction on specific Environmental, Safety, and Health concerns.
Assist the team with the assessment and production of suitable environmental and safety measures, method statements, and reports to satisfy the requirements of this plan.- Maintains proper documentation related to environmental compliance of the DC.
Monitoring of Facilities Operations- Make regular inspections of the DC to ensure that all equipment remains in normal condition
All works, practices, etc., are within the standards set forth in the Site Manuals, and make regular updates to the DCAC Manager on all concerns regarding the Distribution Center
- Develop and implement systems necessary to maintain the distribution center and all the machinery and equipment
All instructions are accurately relayed and fully implemented to the vendor providing Warehouse Management
Energy Management- Prepare Energy Management Programs and guidelines for the properties and monitor compliance with the Energy Management Guidelines and summarize cost savings for presentation to management.
Government Requirements and Other Legal Matters- Ensure that all government requirements are complied with and ensure that original copies of all legal documents are stored in a secure place in the Administration Services office, while photocopies are kept on file.
Safety and Security- Ensure the safety and security of the sites and determine threats and hazards by doing Risk Assessment; plan and develop Emergency Management Programs and Business Continuity Programs
Housekeeping & Waste Management- Determine and maintain the housekeeping requirements (cleanliness and order) and oversee the Waste Management Program and guidelines for the site.
Budget Preparation- Assist the BDC Operations Manager in developing a site enhancement plan, identify projects that will solve present operational problems, determine the cost of the projects, and prioritize projects according to urgency and fund availability.
Budget Optimization- Assist the BDC Operations Manager in ensuring that all expense targets are met and determining and implementing ways to decrease expenses of the site while maintaining the high level of service expected.
Expense Monitoring- Assist the BDC Operations Manager in developing a Project Calendar to ensure minimal budget variance, ensure that all projects are implemented within set schedules, and assist the BDC Operations Manager in managing Operational Expenses (OPEX).
Site Enhancements- Continuously develop and implement ways to improve the appearance and efficiency of the distribution center and the equipment and continuously develop and implement ways to improve the operational procedures implemented.
Community Development- Develop and implement activities that will promote harmonious relationships within the distribution center, and between the sites and the neighboring communities, and develop and implement activities that will protect the welfare of the neighboring communities and the environment.
Special Project- Develop and implement special activities that will promote and improve the safety, health, and efficiency of the company.
Fleet Management- Determine and maintain that all DC Company vehicles are in good condition, also overseeing all aspects of fleet charging and booking.
Performs other tasks that may be assigned from time to time in relation to the function.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- 3-5 Years of Experience in Safety, Facilities Management, and Admin
Engineering graduate, preferably BSEE or BSME, or any allied Environmental Science course
With PCO Accreditation from EMB/DENR, if none, must be willing to undergo PCO training and certification under EMB/DENR accredited training provider- Preferably with 40-hour OSH training or other Safety Training like BLS, BICS, etc.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
