Job Description

General Summary:

Our client is a Canadian-based emerging SaaS software provider focused on the MSP (Managed IT Services Provider) sector. Their primary platform is a document management and CRM system specifically tailored to MSP operators. It allows them to manage their clients, dispatch support technicians and enhance productivity and customer service outcomes. It does so in a simpler and less expensive format than current market offerings. You will report directly to the management team working as a key contributor.

The focus of this role is business development and new client acquisition. This includes answering inbound customer enquiries, booking product demos as well as some outbound customer contact over voice and email.

Ideally you bring experience in the SaaS space with an understanding of MSP and IT support services. You are a strong communicator with an entrepreneurial spirit and a passion for client acquisition.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to in-bound customer enquiries.
  • Identify prospective clients in an assigned target market.
  • Conduct initial discovery exercises with prospective clients to understand user requirements.
  • Book and present product demos
  • Deliver powerful and impactful presentations alone and with the larger sales team
  • Maintain consistent activity and sales funnel while meeting and exceeding sales targets
  • Other functions relating to lead generation and market penetration including targeted outbound activities.
  • Assist with new client onboarding and setup
  • Become an expert in the Clients SaaS platform as well as competitive platforms

Qualifications:


  • Strong sales focus with excellent English both written and spoken.
  • Comfortable communicating with customers and teammates in a clear and persuasive way.
  • A team player able to work as an equal participant in a team made up of management, technicians and vendors, some of whom work remotely or on-site in Canada.
  • Ability to communicate with clients at all levels.
  • Takes ownership of tasks and follows through to ensure complete resolution.
  • An entrepreneurial attitude -always looking for new opportunities and new ways to grow the team and business.
  • Takes a personal interest in, and responsibility for, the quality of work you perform.
  • Enjoys sharing information, supporting others, and working on a team to achieve team goals.

Experience and Technical Qualifications:


  • 3+ years in customer or account management in SaaS or related area.
  • Specific sales experience and training.
  • Degree in Computer Science, business or related field is a strong asset.
  • Current model PC, headset and equipment
  • High speed internet access and backup
  • Suitable office space for work-from-home
