Intercompany accounting activities for FMC Corporation's Global legal entities. Activities include Processing, Closing, Reconciling & Tracking of Intercompany transactions in a timely and accurate manner. Responsible for assisting with initiatives to drive standardization, process improvement and optimization across the group. Maintain relationships with key stakeholders, to deliver financial results through high levels of financial service and business partnering.
Job Responsibilities
Responsible for the timely completion of Regional (EMEA / NAM / LATAM / APAC) Intercompany accounting activities
Investigate intercompany OOB and resolve differences
Confirmation of IC balances
Preparation of IC reconciliations, including aged analysis, and uploading into Blackline
Raising and settlement of IC invoices in line with all applicable statutory requirements: accounting, tax, and treasury
Assist in the execution of specific controls within accounting processes and other general accounting activities
Help to maintain Intercompany Billing Tool and IC ledgers within SAP, providing accurate and consistent records
Ensure compliance with US GAAP, local GAAP, Tax accounting rules along with SOX where applicable
Participate in strategic continuous improvement initiatives in the organization
Promptly respond to information requests from internal and external stakeholders
Maintain & safeguard required documentation
Achieve deadlines set by leadership and the business and proactively monitor and raise instances where deadlines cannot be met in a timely fashion
Function as a member of a team, demonstrate ability to work collaboratively within & outside of the IC Team.
Qualifications
Professional accountancy qualification beneficial
2+ years of relevant experience with US GAAP experience a strong advantage
Experience within Intercompany (or accounting) functions within a shared service center function for a multinational corporation preferred
Intercompany reconciliation responsibility and experience is a strong advantage
Experience working with an ERP system, preferably SAP
Proven ability to work in a team environment
Involvement in the set-up and stabilization of a new Intercompany function.
