Job Title: Roving CashierReports To: Internal Control Manager
Job Summary: The Roving Cashier will be responsible for managing cash control and inventory
for a cluster of Pickup Coffee stores. This supervisory-level position requires mobility to cover
multiple store locations, ensuring accurate financial transactions, inventory management, and
adherence to company policies. The Roving Cashier will perform specific tasks including cash
deposits, sales cut-off checks, petty cash fund (PCF) liquidation, stock monitoring, and order
placement.
- Cash Control and Inventory Management:
o Handle all cash control duties for a designated cluster of stores.
o Perform regular cash counts, reconciliations, and ensure accurate cash deposits.
o Oversee inventory management processes, including stock monitoring and order
placement.
- Specific Tasks:
o Cash Deposit: Ensure timely and accurate deposits of store cash to the bank.
o Sales Cut-Off Check: Conduct daily sales cut-off checks to verify and record
sales accurately.
o PCF Liquidation: Manage and liquidate petty cash funds, ensuring proper
documentation and compliance.
o Stock Monitoring: Monitor inventory levels to maintain optimal stock and
prevent shortages or overstock.
o Order Placement: Place orders for inventory replenishment in a timely manner
to meet store needs.
- Mobility and Coverage:
o Travel between multiple store locations within the designated cluster to perform
duties.
o Ensure consistent implementation of cash control and inventory management
practices across all covered stores.
- Supervisory Duties:
o Provide guidance and support to store staff regarding cash handling and inventory
procedures.
o Train new employees on internal control policies and procedures related to cash
and inventory management.
o Report any discrepancies or issues to the Internal Control Manager and assist in
resolving them.
- Compliance and Reporting:
o Ensure all financial transactions and inventory movements comply with company
policies and procedures.
o Prepare and submit detailed reports on cash control and inventory management
activities to the Internal Control Manager.
- Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in finance,
accounting, or related field preferred.
Proven experience in cash handling and inventory management, preferably in a retail or
food & beverage environment.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial transactions.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to work independently and travel frequently between store locations.
Effective communication and supervisory skills.
Proficiency in using financial and inventory management software.
