MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:- Receive and inspect incoming raw materials to verify their quality and quantity.
Perform visual, dimensional, and functional inspections of raw materials.
- Use various measuring instruments and testing equipment to assess material properties.
Check for conformity to established specifications and standards.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of raw material inspections, including test results, batch numbers, and inspection dates.
Generate inspection reports and update quality control databases as required.- Communicate any non-conforming materials to the QA Specialist or relevant personnel for further action.
- Conduct physical and chemical tests on raw materials as needed, following established testing procedures.
Evaluate test results to determine material quality and compliance.- Identify deviations from specifications and report them for corrective action.
- Collect representative samples of raw materials for laboratory analysis or additional testing when necessary.
Ensure proper sample handling and labelling to maintain sample integrity.
- Collaborate with production and procurement teams to address quality issues promptly.
Assist in investigating and resolving quality-related concerns and non-conformances.- Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action initiatives.
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines while handling and inspecting raw materials.
Stay updated on relevant regulations, industry standards, and best practices related to raw material inspection.- Ensure compliance with company quality policies and procedures.
- Maintain and calibrate inspection and testing equipment to ensure accuracy.
Report any equipment malfunctions or calibration issues for prompt resolution.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or technical training in quality assurance is a plus.
Proven experience in raw material inspection or a related quality assurance role within a manufacturing environment.- Knowledge of quality assurance principles, techniques, and testing methods.
Familiarity with measuring instruments and testing equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
Excellent communication and documentation skills.- Basic computer skills for data entry and report generation.
