Job Description

Job Summary

The Risk Manager is responsible for providing assistance to the Chief Risk Officer (CRO) of the Company in seeing to it that an effective Enterprise-Wide Risk Management System is functioning as designed. The role provides hands-on development of risk models, provide research and analytical support, and communicates risk policies and processes for the organization. The position is also the alternate contact person of the insurance service providers.
  • I. DutiesFunction:
Assist the CRO in designing and implementing an overall risk management process for the Organization, which includes an analysis of the financial impact on the company when risks occur;
  • Risk assessment: Analyze current risks and identify potential risks that affect the Company;
Assist the CRO in the compilation and preparation of the company's Sustainability Reports for management and its stakeholders;
Risk evaluation: Evaluate and give feedback to the CRO, the company's handling of risks and comparing potential risks with criteria set out by the company such as costs and legal requirements; Recommend risk reporting formats to the relevant audience;
  • Assist in the preparation of risk management programs and timetable for the group;
Prepare risk management and insurance budgets;
  • Provide information to the CRO on areas that require control enhancement and recommendations for improvement;
Assist CRO in conducting risk management trainings;
  • Assist the CRO in the preparation of materials to be presented to the Risk Management Council and Board Risk Oversight Committee;
To perform all other duties that may be instructed or delegated by the CRO.
  • Secondary DutiesFunction:
  • Insurance:

a. Recommend types and specifics of the insurance policies that the Company should buy.

b. Recommend alternative insurance features that are not currently being used, suggest using insurance claims, monitor its progress with insurers, and verify that payments have been received.

c. Purchase insurance, maintain records of insurance policies, and monitor claims.

d. Monitor Insurance policy expiries and ensure renewals are timely and adequately covers risks.
  • Business Continuity:
Assist in the creation of business continuity plans to limit risks.
  • Ensure that each member of the company has a BCP in place, and test for effectiveness periodically
  • QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Business Administration
  • Minimum of 5 years work experience in the same capacity
Experience in implementing and managing enterprise risk management
  • Has good research and analytical risk assessment skills with a keen eye for details, excellent planning and organizational skills
Has knowledge on the insurance business requirements
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines with minimal supervision
Adaptable to new concerns and changing environments
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

  • Resourceful and with strong initiative

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to Php60,
