The role will lead some components of the Reward programs (current and new proposals) and provide first-level Reward consulting, taking on inquiries from HR partners and business leaders. The role will also actively provide input to the development, communication and implementation of reward (remuneration and benefits) policies and programs to support organization needs.
Primary Responsibilities
Strategy and Planning
Participate in the development of reward strategies through creative input combined with data analysis and an understanding of the company's current state and future challenges
Provide support in the implementation of the Compensation and Reward strategy and operational initiatives for the GSSC
Research on reward trends specific to the Philippines or Asia region and in the insurance and shared services industries
Lead components of the AMR cycle, focusing on the system readiness and data validation
Policy, Process and Procedures
Carry out day-to-day support activities for remuneration programs
Serve as reviewer for Analyst's work output (eg. Promotion increase recommendations, AMR UAT results, payroll instruction files)
Ensure that turnaround time (TAT) is observed for HR programs with Reward interface/dependency (Recruitment to Reward, Reward to SLTs, etc)
Responsible for performing compliance reviews for Reward programs
Review Reward-related items in the GSSC Playbook and other policy documentation (eg. Bonus plan, allowance, Flexben, Time-off, etc)
Environmental Awareness/Customer Focus
Work collaboratively with stakeholders across the business to ensure that they are engaged and informed as necessary.
Pro-actively identify areas of improvement and increased efficiency to ensure business improvement.
Maintain Reward project documentation in line with internal processes and best practice.
Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with key internal stakeholders to enable proper understanding of rewards programs and its various impacts (financial, risk, etc.)
Coordinate with vendor for any contract management tasks
Technical Performance
Analyze survey results, if available, and find possible solutions specific to the GSSC that may be applicable
Responsible to concur or respond to business-initiated recommendations for off-cycle increases and raise for exception approval
Research, as needed, any impact to compensation costs (eg. Statutory contribution increases, cost of new benefits, etc) as input to organizational budget forecast
Responsible for validating data for various reward surveys to ensure a competitive market position across rewards
Peer-Review role profiles and initial sizing
Participation on global reward team projects, ensuring that GSSC practices are considered for any QBE-wide reward changes/roll-out
People / Leadership Management
Mentor others by overseeing work, providing guidance and serving as a resource for less experience reward professionals
Take responsibility for managing personal performance without close supervision from management.
Support others in the team to achieve their goals.
Required Education
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience
Required Experience
5 years relevant experience

Preferred Experience
3-5 years in Reward Compensation and Benefits exposure
5 years or more in the Human Resources (HR) field
Preferred Knowledge
Knowledge of rewards theory, philosophies, best practices and trends
Strong financial and business acumen
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
Knowledge of current employment legislation, corporate governance, risk management, significant events and its impact on total rewards
Knowledge of confidentiality requirements associated with the practice of Human Resources
