RSOMs are responsible for a variety of tasks, often involving many separate retail locations. One primary responsibility involves the management of employees, as well as ensuring that all locations are properly staffed and all employees are well-trained and satisfied with their jobs.
RSOMs are also responsible for inventory analysis, which involves keeping track of sales figures and inventory requirements and using this information to make estimates on optimal stock levels.
Finally, RSOMs are responsible for maintaining the pleasing visual appearances of their retail locations in order to attract customers and optimize the use of space; they may also train employees to maintain their stores appearances.
- SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
o Recruitment, training, and supervision of store personnel
o Build and/or maintain retail stores physically and for permits, signs, safety and quality control.
o Perform analysis of data to identify opportunities to increase efficiency, workflow, quality, and sales.
o Support service and operations at retail stores, including managing inventory, procurement, staffing and online presence.
o Ensure profitability of retail stores by controlling costs and expenditures, pursue marketing ideas, and deliver high quality products.
o Maintain, update, and enforce safety and security procedures.
Minimum of 5 years work experience in sales.
- Minimum of 3 years work experience in supervising and managing a professional staff of at least five.
o A degree in any discipline is acceptable. Business or management degree may be at an advantage.
o Master's Degree in Business or Management is a plus.
