The Reservations Manager is responsible for maximizing Hotel revenue and customer delight by working as a main link between sales and Hotel operations.
Responsibilities
PLANNING
Achieves maximum occupancy and average rate through proper planning and revenue maximization.
Develop, monitor and adjust sales and pricing strategies.
Conducts competitive and demand analyses and provides critical analysis of chosen strategies, room statistics and general demand factors to ensure the most effective and efficient balance between demand and availability.
LEADING
Maximizes every opportunity to increase revenue by bringing possible business to the Hotel.
Manage and maintain group and transient inventory controls including, but not limited to, room accommodation and rate inventory controls, roll-in controls, group inventory and cut-off dates, implementation of blackout dates, maintaining demand information and managing sellout strategies in partnership with Front Office.
Manage the department and participate in and facilitate meetings.
ORGANIZING
Ensures accuracy of reservations by receiving and processing customer reservations.
Serve as primary liaison with Front Office and Sales and Marketing to maximize inventory and profitability
CONTROLLING
Utilizes Yield Management to maximize occupancy and average rate.
Ensures that all special requests are handled appropriately.
Maintains accurate room rate control and availability statuses.
