Research & Development Manager (Mandaue City, Cebu)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manage a team of R&D specialists to execute project plans effectively. Provide guidance and support to the R&D team, fostering a culture of innovation, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

Lead the development of new food product concepts from ideation to commercialization.

• Improve existing products through formulation enhancements and process optimizations.

Oversee the implementation of GMP, HACCP to ensure food safety and FSSC to meet international food safety standards.

• Conduct market research to identify consumer trends, competitor offerings, and emerging technologies.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Sales, and Operations, to align R&D activities with business goals.

• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations, quality standards, and industry best practices.

Develop and manage the R&D budget, including cost estimation and resource allocation.

• Stay informed about industry advancements, scientific discoveries, and technological innovations in food science.

Drive innovation by exploring new ingredients, flavors, and manufacturing processes to differentiate our products in the market.

• Serve as the main contact person for development work that involves affiliate companies, collaborating on projects and ensuring successful outcomes.

• QUALIFICATIONS:

• Education:

Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Chemistry, or related field. Master's degree preferred.

• Experience:

Minimum of 5 years of experience in food product development within the food manufacturing industry.

• Previous experience managing R&D projects and leading a team of researchers.

Knowledge of food regulations, quality control systems, and product commercialization processes.

• Special Skills:

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent project management abilities with a proven track record of successful product launches.

Effective communication and collaboration skills to work cross-functionally with internal teams.
