QUALIFICATIONS:- Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's/College Degree in Food Technology/Nutrition/Dietetics or equivalent.
At least 5 Year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position in FMCG or similar industry.- Preferably Assistant Manager/Manager specialized in Food Technology/Nutritionist or equivalent.
Tangible roster of new products that were successfully introduced in the market. Adept at testing and prototyping.
Clear understanding of established safety, regulatory, production standards and work processes (i.e Occupational Safety and Health, EMS, HACCP, GMP, SSOP, Manufacturing Operations, 5S)
- Develop and design relevant products according to ideas generated by the Top Management
Initiate and recommend new product ideas/innovations- Determines the process for creating a new item.
Gathers the raw materials necessary to build or create the product being developed. Coordinates with Purchasing when necessary.
- Performs research in order to determine the best way to produce a particular item.
Creates a prototype of a new product in order to iron out flaws in the final design.- Prepares reports on the various procedures that have been tried in order to eliminate methods that are unsuccessful. Makes adjustments to a development plan whenever the current idea is not working well.
Oversees product development amongst a team of individuals
- Prepares a cost analysis on the development of a new product. Coordinates with Technical team, Operations and Purchasing for VAVE initiatives as necessary.
Ensure continual improvement of the product development process.- Interface with internal and external customers to effectively resolve design, quality, cost, and production issues.
Responds to internal turnaround time goals, customer expectations, and customer feedback.
- Handles all aspects of the process that the Company uses to create and introduce new products.
Manage the department's budget according to approved plan.- Perform all other tasks, duties, and responsibilities that may be assigned from time-to-time.
