Job Summary
- Responsible for managing delinquent consumer loans, primarily focused on the reduction and resolution of assigned and endorsed 61-90 days Past Due Loans (PDL) through timely, efficient and effective collection via field visits, callouts, SMS and emails for the immediate payment, payment workout, foreclosure or other mediums of loan resolution
How will you contribute
- Probes, resolves and updates 61- 90 days Past Due Loans (PDL) and Non-Performing Loans (NPL) of the bank's consumer loans portfolio assigned to the Unit through telephone and field collection, remedial management and recovery/resolution.
- Evaluates client's financial and debt service capacities as reasons for loan delinquency and traces whereabouts of borrowers and other assets if contact is negative and implements alternative courses of action within the approved guidelines
- Negotiates with clients on acceptable repayment risk programs and set terms and conditions and obtains client's concurrence with the risk mitigation programs offered
- Updates reports/status/actions taken on all assigned accounts in the Automated Collection System (ACS) regularly and promptly notes down all collection activities in the ACS.
- Submits weekly Status/Itinerary Report to immediate superiors for update in the Department's weekly performance and necessary system updates
- Provides feedback and recommendations to Unit, Section and Department Heads and other areas of the business on effectiveness of collection strategies and improvement on prevailing work procedures including client concerns i.e. complaints
What will make you successful
- Graduate of Business Management of any related course
- With experience in handling past due consumer loans from early bucket to litigation.
- Must have 3-5 years experience as Junior Officer in Credit and Collection gained from Banks, Financial Institutions or Collection Agency.
- Good written and oral communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), excellent organizational, analytical and problem solving skills.
- Experience in handling multiple Officers from different disciplines is preferable.
- With a valid driver's license and can drive a motorcycle and car.
