S3 is searching for an exceptional Release Train Engineer who is a servant leader and coach for the Agile Release Train (ART) ready to take on new large-scale projects and great opportunities.
The main function of the Release Train Engineer is to facilitate a mature product line that uses SAFe but in a more continuous way so that planning is done throughout the PI for 2 + 1 PI's. As an RTE you should have a strong background in Azure DevOps, have a great understanding of SAFe and Agile principles so that they can apply the framework in a flexible way.
Responsibilities:
- Facilitate the ART events and processes and assist the teams in delivering value.
- Communicate with stakeholders, escalate impediments, help manage risk, and drive relentless improvement.
- A servant leader and coach for the Solution Train, facilitating and guiding the work of all ARTs and Suppliers in the Value Stream. Although Agile Release Trains (ARTs) and Solution Trains are composed of self-organizing and self-managing teams, trains don't drive or steer themselves on autopilot. That responsibility falls to the RTE who operate most effectively as servant leaders.
- Has a solid grasp of how to scale Lean and Agile practices and understand the unique opportunities and challenges associated with facilitating and continuously aligning a large development program
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering or relevant field required.
- Strong background in Scrum/Agile practices.
- Strong background with Azure DevOps
- Experience with Scaled Agile (SAFe).
- Experience in Kanban and Scrumban
- Preferably with a Project Manager Experience or a Scrum Master Certified
- Perform PI Planning effectively (Knowing the roles w/in each PI planning meeting)
Preferred:
- Work Setup: Hybrid (predominantly WFH/2x per week RTO), amenable to travel to Ayala, Makati
- Work Schedule: Flexible (with US overlap)
- Full-time IC Contract
