Ninja Restock aims to make stock and inventory distribution logistics faster and more affordable by providing cost-efficient trucking services, interisland shipping, and cargo trucking to increase the supply chain efficiency of the businesses we support.
The Regional Manager is responsible for managing and pioneering all core operations in a specific region. The Regional Manager shall lead a team of Operations Managers and Area Supervisors handling the Riders and Trucks operations and their respective stations and warehouses.
As a Restock (B2B) Regional Manager, your core focus revolves around motivation and customer orientation. Your primary duty is to oversee the daily logistics operations of your region between businesses, ensuring efficient and timely movement of goods. They manage client relationships, ensuring service level agreements are met, and act as the primary point of contact for resolving issues. The role involves supervising a team, optimizing processes, and maintaining inventory control and warehouse operations. They coordinate shipments, manage logistics costs, and work with vendors to enhance operational efficiency. Additionally, they analyze operational data to drive continuous improvement and ensure compliance with safety regulations. Their efforts are crucial for maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction and operational effectiveness.
Assignment and tasks of a Restock (B2B) Regional Manager will cover the first, sort, middle and last mile segments of supply chain based on their assigned location thus one must be able to perform with flexibility and perform the outlined scope as needed in their assigned Restock Hubs or Consol Stations
First Mile Scope
- Pickup Scheduling: Arranging and scheduling pickups from shipper locations of either B2B Restock or NV Core E-Commerce pick up with no existing cluster operations (formerly known as Multi-Origin pick up)
- Order Confirmation: Verifying and confirming order details with suppliers before initiating pickup.
- Route Planning: Planning and optimizing routes for efficient pickup and transportation to the warehouse or logistics hub.
- Stakeholder Communication: Maintaining clear communication with suppliers, carriers, and internal teams to ensure smooth first-mile operations.
- Issue Resolution: Addressing and resolving any issues or delays that occur during the first mile, such as transportation delays or supplier discrepancies.
- Shipment Tracking: Monitoring shipments in real-time to track their progress and ensure timely arrival at the logistics hub.
- Status Updates: Providing regular updates to relevant stakeholders on the status of first-mile deliveries
Sort Scope
- Unload Shipments: Safely unload goods from incoming vehicles.
- Quality Control: Inspect items for damage, accuracy, and quality against the shipment documentation.
- Classification: Categorize items based on various criteria such as destination, size, type, or priority.
- Inventory Management: Update inventory systems with the received and sorted items.
- Storage Allocation: Allocate space in the warehouse for sorted goods, ensuring efficient use of space and accessibility.
- Order Grouping: Consolidate items for the same destination or similar routes.
- Packaging: Ensure goods are appropriately packed, grouped, and ready for the next stage of the supply chain.
Middle Mile Scope
- Load Optimization: Optimize vehicle loads to maximize capacity and ensure safe transport.
- Carrier Coordination: Select and coordinate with carriers for the transportation of goods.
- Fleet Management: Manage and track the fleet of vehicles used for middle mile transportation.
- Status Updates: Provide regular updates to stakeholders about the status and location of shipments
- Cross-docking: Implement cross-docking strategies where goods are directly transferred from inbound to outbound transport with minimal storage time.
- Transfer Coordination: Manage the transfer of goods between different transport modes or carriers if necessary.
Last Mile Scope
- Delivery Scheduling: Plan and schedule deliveries to ensure timely arrival at the customer's location.
- Route Optimization: Optimize delivery routes to minimize travel time and costs while maximizing efficiency.
- Vehicle Allocation: Assign appropriate delivery vehicles based on the size, type, and urgency of the orders.
- Fleet Coordination: Coordinate with delivery drivers and manage the fleet to ensure smooth last mile operations.
- Customer Interaction: Maintain clear communication with customers regarding delivery details, handling special requests, and addressing any issues or delays.
- Feedback Collection: Gather customer feedback on the delivery experience to identify areas for improvement.
- On-time Delivery: Ensure deliveries are made within the promised time window.
- Proof of Delivery: Obtain confirmation of delivery through signatures, photos, or electronic means.
- Driver Safety: Implement safety protocols for delivery drivers to minimize risks and ensure the safe handling of goods.
Qualifications
- At least 2 years in college, Bachelor Degree holder is an advantage
- 3-5 years cumulative work experience in the Service Industry or Logistics and Supply Chain Industry.
- Must have at least 3 to 5 years of experience as a Logistics/Fleet/Warehouse Supervisor or any similar position
- Proven experience in working cross-functionally - proposing and executing initiatives that require multi-department collaboration
- Experience in managing a small team
- Basic knowledge of various computer programs, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and other related software programs.
- Prior experience with a start-up and a logistics company is preferred but not required
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Experience in working with senior management
