Reconciliation Specialist

  • Reports to the Chief Finance Officer
  • Review and reconciles financial records
  • Investigates discrepancies in the accounting books
  • Keep accurate records of reconciliation activities
  • Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanation
  • Assist in the review of the accounting set-up of the core banking system
  • Handles implementation of all Finance Systems
  • Provide support to other departments on reconciliation processes
  • Maintain accurate documentation and records of all reconciliation activities
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and policies

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience of financial and reconciliation accounting process.
  • Capable of investigating and solving financial discrepancies
  • Proficiency in SAP and other financial management systems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills particularly in English
  • Ability to manage multiple task and deadlines efficiently
  • Experience in working with a technology-driven environment where technology plays a central role in shaping processes, culture, and innovation.
  • Expertise in bank reconciliation processes.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess and improve financial processes and systems.
  • Possesses strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Above average verbal and written communication skills, particularly in English.
  • Able to communicate complex concepts persuasively to different audiences and levels within the organization.
  • Responsible, self-motivated, must be capable of and enjoy working independently, driving decisions, and having an entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Wants to be challenged and looking for an entrepreneurial setup/culture.
  • Passionate about making a difference in the unbanked segment.
