QUALIFICATION
  • Bachelors Degree
1-3 years of experience as a receptionist or in a related field.
  • Consistent, professional dress, and manner.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
Strong phone skills
  • Comfortable multi-tasking and prioritizing tasks without guidance

JOB DESCRIPTION
  • Receptionist:
Manages customer reservations.
  • Verifying the bar's availability during customers preferred reservation dates.
Assist customers with reservations by recommending open or unoccupied seats.
  • Processing payments and sending confirmation details to customers.
Sorting out any issues that may arise with bookings or reservations.
  • Promoting reservation services.
Answering any questions customers might have about the reservation process.
  • Providing support to customers who may need to amend or cancel a reservation.
Greeting guests as they enter and putting them on a waiting list as necessary.
  • Providing guests with menus and answering any initial questions.
Seating guests at tables or in waiting areas.
  • Assigning guests to tables they prefer, while keeping table rotation in mind so that servers receive the right number of customers.
Engaging with guests to ensure they're happy with food and service.
  • Server:
Prepare tables by setting up linens, silverware, and glasses; Ensure these are all clean and free from stains and fingerprints.
  • Arrange table settings based on reservation and / or event requirements.
Greet and escort customers to their tables.
  • Presents menu and provides detailed information (e.g., origin, portions, ingredients, potential food ingredients, potential food allergies).
Practice suggestive selling.
  • Communicate with head chefs of kitchen and bar for slow moving items and up-sell products when appropriate.

  • Check customers IDs to ensure they meet minimum age requirements for consumption of alcoholic beverages.
Communicate special order details to the kitchen and bar staff (ex. No nuts, no gluten etc).
  • Serve food and drink orders while observing proper service etiquette.
Double check dishes and drinks for proper presentation and cleanliness before serving.
  • Maintain a clean and tidy dining area during operations (practice CLAYGO).
Follow all relevant health department regulations.
  • Review that bill checks are accurate before giving to guests and collecting payment.
Bus out soiled plates, glasses, and silverware to the proper bus out area.
  • Answer customers questions and get a manager if the answer doesn't solve the issue; please deal with customers to ensure a positive experience.
Complete closing check- list (putting up chairs, sanitizing tables, mopping floors, turning off lights and appliances, etc.).
  • Other duties that may arise from time to time and may be assigned to the employee.
