DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:- Provides specialized nursing treatment and care to a diverse population of acute, critical and non-acute patients.
- Responsible for providing patent Intravenous sites for patients in CT Scan area, MRI area and as for the Radiology Department respectively.
- Patient care duties includes administering of Contrast Media and Medications including moderate sedation for CT Biopsy procedures and prophylaxis to possible prior and post contrast media reactions as ordered and supervised by the Doctor in charge,
- Monitoring and managing patient crisis.
- Oversee patient care in a technically fast paced oriented environment.
- Practices patients advocacy in accordance to patient's opinions and matters per se when needed.
- Thorough patient Cephalocaudal assessment and vital signs are noted and referred accordingly.
- Responsible in providing the needs of patients, to ensure safety and to provide first hand medical assistance in every procedure provided if any Contrast reactions post procedure arises.
- As per above mentioned duties and responsibilities; not only limited to provide and to give nursing care during the CT Scan and MRI procedures but also responsible in assist in Biopsy's may it be as a CT Guided Biopsy, Ultrasound Guided Biopsy and Mammogram Needle Localization/Biopsy.
- Provides therapeutic counseling for patients whenever need arises.
- BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Graduate of Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
Must be Registered Nurse (RN)
- With or without work experience
