The
Radiology Manager (Chief Radiologic Technologist) ensures accurate and timely management of radiologic services for diagnostic purposes and follows established radiologic requirements and regulations to ensure patient care and safety.
- Supervises the operations of the Radiology department and assigned staff.
Responsible for the renewal of relevant permits of the Department of Health (DOH)- Trains, supervises, and leads/mentors a team of Radiologic Technologists
Ensures quality of services and safety of the team as well as the patients
- Makes routine check-up for the machines
Positions patients, adjusts CT scan equipment to correct proper voltage settings- Develops film by automatic or digital radiograph.
Provides protection in accordance with prescribed safety standard.
- Maintains CT- Scan files and carries out standard procedures for release of CT-Scan information.
Explains diagnostic procedures to the patients before and after the procedure.- Practices sterile as necessary to prevent cross- contamination
Assist radiologist when interpreting ct-scan images
- Assist radiologist or physician in doing special procedures
Prepares and administer by orally / rectally chemical mixtures for patients examination- Proper encoding and filing of the request examination
Monitor, evaluate and maintain equipment for optimal performance and stability. Ensure radiologic equipment remains in working order.
- Acts as Radiation Safety Officer for the department
Recognize, record and report, according to policy, when a significant increase or underexposure in radiation exposure occurs.- Perform related administrative duties including completing necessary forms, and overseeing the labeling of films and film envelopes, and maintaining procedure logs.
Keeping inventory of X-ray supplies and ensuring that orders for supply restocks as made, as required
- Perform other duties and ad hoc tasks/projects that may be assigned
Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology. Masteral degree/units an advantage.
- Registered Radiologic Technologist with a valid PRC License
At least 10 years of total work experience in the field of Radiology in a hospital setting- At least three (3) years of supervisory experience in the field of Radiology in a hospital setting as Chief Radiologic Technologist or Radiology Manager
Can operate the following: Digital X ray Machine, Fluoroscopy Machine, CT scan/MRI Machine, Ultrasound Machine, Mammography, Digital Printer, CR/DR Viewer, Picture Archiving Communication System (PACS)
