This is a specialized position in the field of radiologic technology which handles to patient care and treatment delivery involving cancer patients. Their service should be in accordance with the regulatory requirement set by the Department of Health (DOH), Food and Drug Administration Center for Device Regulation Radiation Health and Research (FDA-CDRRHR) and Philippine Nuclear Research Institute (PNRI). He/she must follow the designation and other responsibilities as supervised by the Senior Radiation Therapy Technologist (SR RTT) and Medical Physicist Level IV and above. He/she will be designated into certain levels depending on his competencies and experience in the field.
- EDUCATIONAL AND COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS
a. Must have a bachelor's degree in radiologic technology with competitive grades
b. Must be a licensed radiologic technologist with an updated license
c. Knowledge of radiation therapy procedures and equipment operation and of physics and patient care techniques at a level acquired through an approved program in the radiation therapy field
- WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
v Work experience requirements will depend on the level to be designated to RTT
v Must have undergone an official training under a board-certified medical physicist
v Recommended, but not required, to have ISO awareness certifications
