Job Description- The R&D / Cosmetic Formulator assists the Product Development and Formulation process of the Laboratory.
Performs product development and analysis through hands-on lab-based experiments as assigned by the R&D Head.- Assists in developing technical expertise in product design (formulation, prototyping) and process development (technology transfer, scale-up, manufacturing process, validation).
Collaborate and provide R&D status updates in project team meetings to deliver new products and/or claims.
- Helps provide solutions and demonstrate rationale (rework, reformulation) to technical problems especially in big scale compounding.
Supervises the manufacturing process/es of new product/s that are scheduled for big scale compounding and reports status update/s to concerned department/s in a timely manner.- Assists in drafting and completing documents needed in the R&D Department such as product development summary reports/status, product specifications, master formulation etc.
Records and monitors stability status of project development as individually assigned in a timely and organized manner.
- Follows minimal standards & processes (GLP, cGMP etc.) to ensure the department meets all quality, safety, and regulatory requirements.
Understand formulation / ingredient technology, general chemistry principles, and process development.- Maintain awareness of new and emerging technologies and industry practices.
_QUALIFICATION / REQUIREMENTS

- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Pharmacy, Chemical Technology or other science-related course is preferred.
Previous work experience of not less than 1 year in the same setting/industry is required.
- Basic knowledge in Microsoft Office applications is a must.
Must be willing to be trained and can perform tasks with minimal to no supervision.- Must be independent, with initiative, organized, and systematic.
Must be able to comprehend dictations well.
- Must be able to adapt well to pressure and meet deadlines.
Can handle task-related urgencies well.- Must be open to communication and improvement.
