JOB OBJECTIVES:To support the Project in all material and labor requirements, be responsible for all claims and variation work and help to ensure that the construction of the project is completed within the projected budget.
Evaluate sub-contractor's monthly progress billing accomplishment and ensure that correct procedure is adopted regarding the application and payment for completed work.
Provide/prepare project's monthly progress report.
Assist in the preparation of contractor's monthly payment application/billing.
Assess contractor's entitlement for additional costs and variation order claims.
Perform comprehensive quantity take-off, cost estimate/analysis for Structural and Architectural works.
Outsource process and material costs from suppliers and subcontractors.
Provide up to date information on prices availability of materials.
Ensure that procured materials are in accordance with specifications within the budget.
Maintain active communication and coordination with suppliers and Engineer-in-charge to ensure timely deliveries and compliant materials.
Other duties as may be required by the Immediate Supervisor or the Department Manager
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
At least 2 years working experience as a Quantity Surveyor
Civil Engineering License is an advantage
Must have good organization, negotiation, monitoring and decision-making skills.
Knowledgeable in comparative cost analysis and good understanding of the main contract administration (Progress Claims/Variation and Contractual Claim Preparation).
Can deliver quality output based on the Manager's oral/written instruction.
Knowledgeable in MS Office application, AutoCAD software and other estimating software.
Has good facility and language (oral and written English).
